Gotcha Day!

Lotta picture -little words....

We started at the Beijing airport at 6:00am....

.....everything was such a blur - we went from the airplane....

STRAIGHT to Ellie's orphanage......

Went in a room.....and the next thing we know......

...her nanny brings her in....

And that moment........

...that you wait for is so emotional.....

....and she looks at her mama, and then her daddy (THE man)...

.....and it starts......

....and then the change of scenery calms everyone down....

"Hey, this car is pretty cool"

At the hotel, we have cute moments from a sweet, precious girl..

.....and moments that are a bit rough.......
Daddys first time holding Miss Ellie.

But all the praise goes to our wonderful Lord for this child.
I will admit, right now it's hard to watch her grieve for all she has lost -
it breaks your heart, I've been crying right along with her.
..then, the Lord blesses us with moments like this....

...yay!
How can I even put words on this screen that would even come close to describing to you what this day has held for us?
I can't.
But I can say this:
thank you sweet Jesus.
Love to you all.
Haylie, Jacob and Luke -
your going to love your little sister!

She is beautiful! Beautiful!!! I pray that God gives you all rest. I pray Miss Ellie smiles soon. It is so sad to see what she has lost. I pray she loves all that is new, and holds you both very soon! It looks like they have done some work on her hands. It looks like she has good use of the hands. I'm very happy for your family! I hope you get some rest because you must be tired.

Oh, Kristy...... I have no words.... "Thank You Jesus!"
Your daughter is so beautiful and it makes my heart overflow with joy seeing her in her Mama's arms...
I know how you feel and yes, words cannot even begin to describe... seeing you together takes me there too. To the moment I saw my Hannah and my Nicholas for the first time.
Thank God for answered prayers... He has held her in His loving arms and protected her... He has placed her into the arms of her Mama and Daddy and He will give her heart peace...
Happy first day of the rest of your wonderful life with your family little one.... you are oh, so loved... God's peace...
I am praying for you all and for your babies that wait for you at home.
Sweet dreams Ellie Grace...
Have a beautiful day together.

Wow Kristy,

The moment I have been praying for in pictures, you make me cry:) I was praying for this moment to be gentle on her little heart with so much to take in. Hey, where is the car seat?
Just kidding:) How does she feel in your arms? Soft, cuddly, heavenly? All of this and more? Have I told you how excited I am for you:)? Oh girl, how can I thank you for taking us along on this most wonderful journey with you, what a special blessing. And I know that her grieving will turn to joy in the morning real soon and she will be headed to Oregon to meet the rest of her family. Your heart looks so full in your pictures sweet friend and I pray it overflows.:) She looks perfect in your arms, yours and daddy's. She is beautiful and has the most amazing LIPS. Prayers continue here for safe travel and homecoming.

I love you, Laurie in Ca.

Daleea set me over here and i am so glad to get to see this moment of your's. Thank you for sharing! We travel in May and I just can't imagine how it will be. You are so brave to go through the grieving time with her. I am afraid of that, I admit. But I hear they are better very shortly. I loved the shot of her leaning back against you in the cab. She is already trusting you there.
God Bless Your precious journey.
