Can you say Fon du Lac?

That's where the man and I will be spending all of next week.
Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Ever heard of it?
Work is sending him there, and I get to go with him!
I am actually so very excited to get to spend a week alone with that handsome man of mine, it doesn't matter to me where we go!!
I'm bringing my laptop, a few good books..........it sounds so wonderful! (I will miss my babies like crazy though)
Except that I made the mistake of having some dental work done this week that I had been putting off - yikes.
Just a cracked filling - but fer' goodness sakes, my head won't stop pounding!
I have to go in one more time on Thursday, which I'm dreading..........I'm just praying that by the time I step on that plane, I'll be feeling much better.
Since Lori asked, I wanted to mention that there not much news on the adoption front for us.
We are still in the waiting-trusting-waiting-more waiting......stage.
It's ALL good.
God so knows what He's doing, and I am sooooo good with that!
Believe me, when we find out anything, you all will be the first (or second!) to know!!!!
Blessings ~

This might seem like a silly post, but.......

Have you ever looked out your windows?

I know.....DUH!

For some reason this morning - I was in awe, looking outside. It probably helps that it was a BEAUTIFUL Fall morning here in Oregon. Look how the sun is just hitting the trees.
But, to really look. To realize all that we have been blessed with. To gaze at God's amazing creation.

You don't have to go very far to see all thats around you - how very rich you really are, do you?
Just look.

I LOVE the sunlight in this one.
Have a blessed weekend !

Hey all.
Life is good.
We're back into the full swing of homeschooling, and enjoying every minute of it! Lots going on, exciting things that God is doing - teaching me, growing me, letting me see how incredible He really is......
This post is just to touch base with all of you - know that, for some reason, I've been praying for each of you. I have even been awakened in the middle of the night to do so.
Don't even 'know' you (IRL) - and yet at times I think of your names specifically, and pray.
Anyhow -
if you have a minute, would you go visit these folks?
Read what they're going through, leave a comment, or just pray for them.
Here is the link.

Vacation pics...

So here's what Crater Lake looked like when we first got there.
Rain/snow mix.
For those of you that don't know; Crater Lake is an ancient volcano that when it erupted
(???many years ago) it actually caved in on itself and formed this GIANT crater.
It is breathtakingly beautiful.
But, when we got there, you couldn't see it at ALL.
**side note: this has happened to me more than once! I got to go see Niagara Falls once when I was 12 and when we got there it was all fogged in.
Couldn't see a stinkin thing!
Anyhow, here is us 'enjoying' the sites........

We drove around for a bit and visited the indoor center, and learned a whole bunch of cool stuff. The whole time, our kids kept praying that it would clear up a bit, for us to at least see the water at the bottom of the rim.....

Check out how cool God is:

Yup. Serious. I actually cried. Absolutely breathtaking. When we drove back up from checking out the other things this is what we saw. The water is THAT blue.

Dude. You just can't stop staring at it......amazing creation.

We're back........
after 870 miles of driving around Oregon for the past week, it's so good to be home.
But I'd turn right around and do it again tomorrow if I could.
We had an amazing time.
From the mountains to the coast, marveling in God's creation - getting to spend all that time together as family.........does it get much better than that?

I'll be back soon with more pics
**Amy W. - we soooo enjoyed your family, thank you for having us. You guys are truly amazing. After we left the man says "oh man, we didn't take any pictures with them"!
(cause you know they would of been blog material!)
My family has not stopped talking about your family.
We love you guys!
Thanks again.
Your picture inspired me to do this one!!
